Adding a magical twist to photos from my home town of Aberdare, South Wales is my
'Bewitching Aberdare' set of mixed media artworks.
'Bewitching Aberdare' features photographs taken at Aberdare Park, St. John the Baptist Parish Church, Aberdare, a medieval church and graveyard originally built in 1189, and Dare Valley Country Park.
3 of the St. John's Church artworks have been published in an American Gothic magazine.
Some of the photographs were taken with a Nikon Coolpix and others with a Canon PowerShot SX620.
Below the gallery is a wonderful comment I received from the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council Cabinet Member for Cultural Services.
Please note: the prints are only framed by the Welsh flag
for the purpose of display on the website and are not printed that way.

DARE VALLEY COUNTRY PARK
Councillor Rhys Lewis, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Wellbeing & Cultural Services, said “We live in a beautiful County Borough, and the pieces created by Jayne K’s BewitchingArt add another dimension to that.
“Jayne K’s BewitchingArt has captured perfectly key landmarks in and around Aberdare, while adding a quirky twist to our favourite places.
“Aberdare Park and Dare Valley Country Park are two of the most popular attractions in the Cynon Valley, with the Council investing significantly in both destinations in recent years, ensuring they continue to be much loved and well used.
“It’s pleasing to see a local artist drawing inspiration from the local area, whilst showing them in a new light. I wish Jayne all the very best with the new work, and look forward to seeing more in the future.”
