This is a special collection for me as the backgrounds I have used are photographs I have taken in my locale featuring my beautiful local park, a gorgeous medieval parish church and my local country park.

The photographs were taken with my Nikon Coolpix digital camera between May 2018 and September 2019.

All the 'Bewitching Aberdare' artworks can be purchased directly from me (I will order them from the printing company on request).  You can message me via the Contact page on here or the BewitchingArt Facebook page.

The prints are A5 (21cm x 14.8cm / 8.3inches x 5.8inches) and are printed on 300gsm 'satin' stock (i.e., thick, almost card).  They are printed by an environmentally friendly printing company who only use paper from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified suppliers and in 2018 the printing company teamed up with Tree Aid to fund the planting of up to 1,000 trees.

The prints are double sided with the back of each print giving the name of the artwork and the details of when and where each background photograph was taken.

Each print is encased in a biodegradable cellophane bag.    The prints are £4 plus the cost of any postage.

St John The Baptist Parish Church sits beautifully in the heart of my town.  It was built in the latter part of the 12th Century, as a Chapel of Ease for monks from Margam Abbey.

There are currently 6 artworks featuring the church and its medieval churchyard.

My local country park comprises 500 acres of woodlands, pasture and moorland mountainside which is maintained by my local council.

Aberdare Park is a Victorian park opened on July 27th 1869 and is the oldest public park in Wales.

The Park is absolutely beautiful and well maintained by my local council's (Rhondda Cynon Taf C.B.C.) Parks Department.

Currently I have 10 artworks featuring the Park.

Dragons and witches and ghosts ... oh my!

Councillor Rhys Lewis, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Wellbeing & Cultural Services, said “We live in a beautiful County Borough, and the pieces created by Jayne K’s BewitchingArt add another dimension to that.

“Jayne K’s BewitchingArt has captured perfectly key landmarks in and around Aberdare, while adding a quirky twist to our favourite places.

“Aberdare Park and Dare Valley Country Park are two of the most popular attractions in the Cynon Valley, with the Council investing significantly in both destinations in recent years, ensuring they continue to be much loved and well used.

“It’s pleasing to see a local artist drawing inspiration from the local area, whilst showing them in a new light. I wish Jayne all the very best with the new work, and look forward to seeing more in the future.

You can see photographs of the actual prints on the attached page (these are screenshots of the artworks).

The Aberdare artworks are also available on mugs (£8) and mouse mats (£8.50) from T-Shirt Studio plus the appropriate postage - links to each item are here:
